Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Southwestern Uganda

Home to almost half of the world's remaining mountain gorilla population, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of Uganda's most precious natural treasures. The ancient rainforest spans 321 square kilometers and hosts over 120 mammal species, 348 bird species, and countless plants.

The highlight of any visit is gorilla trekking - a guided hike through dense forest to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Beyond gorillas, visitors can enjoy forest walks, birdwatching, and cultural experiences with local Batwa communities.

Murchison Falls National Park

Northwestern Uganda

Uganda's largest national park is home to the dramatic Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River forces its way through a narrow gorge before plunging 43 meters. The park's diverse landscapes support an abundance of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and over 450 bird species.

Game drives on the northern bank offer excellent wildlife viewing, while boat safaris along the Victoria Nile provide close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds. Hiking to the top of the falls rewards visitors with spectacular views of the cascading waters.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Western Uganda

Stretching from the crater-dotted foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains to the shores of Lake Edward, Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda's most popular safari destination. The park's diverse ecosystems include savannah plains, tropical forest, wetlands, and volcanic features.

Queen Elizabeth is famous for its tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, large herds of elephants, and over 600 bird species. The Kazinga Channel, connecting Lakes Edward and George, offers one of Africa's most rewarding boat safari experiences, with dense concentrations of hippos, buffaloes, and waterbirds.

Rwenzori Mountains National Park

Western Uganda

Known as the "Mountains of the Moon," the Rwenzori range contains Africa's third highest peak and some of the continent's most spectacular mountain scenery. This UNESCO World Heritage site features glaciers, alpine meadows, and an extraordinary variety of plants and animals adapted to high-altitude conditions.

Trekking in the Rwenzoris offers a challenging but rewarding adventure through five distinct vegetation zones, from tropical rainforest to alpine meadows. The mountains are home to rare species such as the Rwenzori turaco and three-horned chameleon.

Jinja - Source of the Nile

Eastern Uganda

Jinja, located at the source of the Nile River where it flows out of Lake Victoria, is Uganda's adventure capital. This historic town offers a perfect blend of cultural experiences and adrenaline-pumping activities centered around the world's longest river.

The area is renowned for its white-water rafting, considered among the best in the world with Grade 5 rapids. Visitors can also enjoy kayaking, bungee jumping, quad biking, and horseback riding.
